So it seems that most shows that I like on the TV don't survive very long.
This has been the case for years, but has become more acute recently... This year alone: Pushing Daisies. Reaper. Eli Stone. Aliens In America. Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Life On Mars... & The Unusuals, 
which we just started watching, having saved the whole season on that wonderful magic device known as the DVR. The show is quirky & smart & doesn't always hit the right notes, but at least it was playing its own tune so to speak...
& speaking of tunes, what I especially dug was the soundtrack, which matched the show both in style & in funkiness, like this lil' number right here, which is perfect for when yer runnin' down a perp in the subway~

Probably because you have good taste and the TV sucks. I saw a lot of Life on Mars when we were living in the UK but haven't seen the Unusuals. Will check it out.
Yeah, "Unusuals" is good, quirky fun, not great by any means but def. had potential.
The original "Life On Mars" was far superior, but the American version was not the train wreck it could've been until perhaps the ending which def. seemed like it was added on due to cancellation & kind of threw the whole shebang off-course.
